I'm Carlo Cosi, I was born in Padova on November 15th 1988 and I started going to the mountains since I was a child, thanks to my parents who were able to convey their passion.
I started skiing when I was 4, while my love for climbing came latere.
My father used to take me to the cliff of Rocca Pendice to teach me how to make my first steps, then, on a beautiful summer day, when I was 14 years old, he took me to make my first mountain trail: it was the trail of the Guides at 5 Torri.
I can say that that day was when my passion started.
So I started climbing more often and frequent the cliff of Rocca Pendice and Lumignano, close to home, where, when school finished, I'd spend my afternoons hanging from the walls.
Growing up I began to explore the world, in summer and winter, in the paradise of the Alps and not only, passing through Turkey and Peru, but I always stayed very attached to my Dolomites.
When I was 18, during the last year of high school, I became a climbing instructor (FASI) and then I decided that being an alpine guide was going to be my future.
So I decided to prepare myself for the long journey made of many sacrifices and a lot of satisfactions.
In November 2011 I graduated in Sports Science (Physical education) at the University of Padua and in September 2012, at the age of 23, after a year and a half of hard work, I accomplished my dream ending the Guide courses and becoming part of the world of the Italian Alpine Guides.
In 2015 I was nominated for the Piolet d'Or for the opening in 2014 of the new route on the Cordillera Huayhuash in Perù and the Grignetta d'Oro for climbing merits for the 2013/2014.
